Xiaomi Mi Pad launched for Rs 12,999, will be available on Flipkart from March 24th without registration

The affordable ipad Mini lookalike is priced at Rs 12,999, and will be available via an open sale on Flipkart from February 24th, eliminating the need for registrations.
At the moment, Xiaomi has only launched the
16GB white variant of the Mi Pad in India. The device is available in
China in multiple colour options and an additional 64GB edition as well.
The Mi Pad is the world’s first tablet to utilise the quad-core NVIDIA
Tegra K1 processor, which is clocked at 2.2GHz, and is supported by a
192-core Kepler GPU and 2GB of RAM. The slate boasts a 7.9-inch IPS
Retina resolution (2,048 x 1,536 pixels) display with a pixel density of
324ppi and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. For imaging, it has an
8MP primary camera with a Sony BSI sensor and a 5MP secondary shooter
with an Omnivision sensor. On the software front, it runs Android 4.4
KitKat with MIUI on top. Other specs include a 6,700mAh battery, a
microSD card slot, USB OTG, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth
Alongside the Xiaomi Mi Pad, the brand has also launched the successor to the Redmi 1s (review/FAQs), the Redmi 2. Priced at Rs 6,999, the Redmi 2 (review/FAQs) is an affordable 4G LTE-enabled Android smartphone that will also be available on March 24th, but via the flash sale model only.
